Miosa®; the name itself is a combination of the names of Michael and Sanea Sommerfield. Not only is the name a blend of this dynamic
husband and wife team, but the collection itself reflects the mixture of yin and yang these two represent. Michael Sommerfield
has been sewing and making clothing since the age of 11, and has always been intensely interested in garment construction.
He started a very successful chain of tailoring stores before deciding to go back to school for fashion design.
It was at this time the husband and wife duo met.
Sanea brings a feminine touch to the label. Being a very sensitive person helps her understand and anticipate the clients
needs and desires. Sanea came from a business management background, and she adds that structure and expertise to the business
as well.
A lot of the sensuality of the label comes from Michaels very strong voice on what compliments a womans body. The reality
of what really works for women keeps him grounded. The balance of working together as husband and wife is a great asset to
the label in style, quality, and beliefs.
If you ask the designers about what is most important to their label, they would say the emotional connection their clients
have with their Miosa® gown is definitely it. Every gown expresses the personality of the bride. The design and cut of every Miosa® gown compliments and accentuates the brides body in a way not seen in the market today. Quality touches, such as the signature
blue stitch sewn inside of her gown finish the perfect look. When a bride receives her gown, the inside of her gown should
be as pretty as the outside. Since this is the one day of your life unlike any other, so should your wedding dress be like
no other.
All Miosa® gowns are hand crafted in our Northern California flagship store from the finest silks and French laces. The newest technology,
combined with traditional old world techniques, results in gowns of extraordinary quality and beauty.
